Information about Endurance

Endurance Ultrarunning Team Finland is a Finnish athletics club for ultrarunners. Our main goal is to unify Finnish ultrarunners and share information about ultrarunning. Endurance was officially founded June 27th, 2006 and home location of the club is Lohja.

We have almost 200 members, including some of the most successful Finnish ultrarunners, but there are also many members who are just planning their first race longer than marathon. And not all of our members are aiming for ultradistances, we have also some members who like to run shorter distances.

One of the reasons why the club was founded was to organize ultrarunning races in Finland. At the moment we are responsible for these two races:

By the way, why Finnishs athletics club have English name "Endurance"? Of course it refers to endurance sports, but it is also an homage to Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton, a famous Anglo-Irish explorer and his legendary Trans-Antarctic expedition 1914-16 with the famous Endurance-ship.
